Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey 93% lean recommended
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs or almond flour for gluten-free
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce or BBQ sauce for added flavor

Instructions

  • Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—avoid overmixing to keep burgers tender.
  • Shape Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 1/2-inch thick.
  • Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Cook: Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Rest: Let the burgers rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve: Enjoy on toasted buns with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, avocado, or cheese.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey with a bit of fat for juicier burgers.
  • Add chopped spinach or grated zucchini to the mix for extra nutrition.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for later.
